Orange and Brown is a small town. The school colors are on the street and in the air, as Halloween 2001 approaches a Midwestern community. Through the rambling narration of geriatric donut shop patrons, we learn about the scandals dividing the town. Through a fast moving plot with an ensemble cast, we see what those scandals really mean. The leading player, David Light, mayor and dentist, attempts to connect with his community in a fall of pride and patriotism.
