  • Coal, and other things buried

Investigating the drowning of a loved one, deputy Paul Roberts dives deep but comes up dry. He finds a series of accidents but no crime. His summer long journey across the state, from lake to lake, uncovers more problems around a central solution, coal power. From June to August, Paul accepts his family heritage as a lawman. He even unintentionally grows a mustache. The investigation takes him closer to what’s really affecting his community, and how he can solve all these “crimes.”
