This is an ongoing young adult novel (blog) about the apocalypse told from the perspective of a 16-year-old. Aaron Frerichs is part of a government project to save civilization. His community may or may not be the last town left alive. Here’s a link.
Riopelle
Riopelle is intended to be a series for young readers. The action takes place at Fort Riopelle, in the hills of Tennessee. The stronghold, which was never used in battle, is now a tourist trap and artist’s commune. Books will focus on the adventures of children living at the fort.

Sunny Climbs a Tree
I wrote and illustrated this book for a friend leaving work. She was a previous children’s lead at our bookstore, and was worried about saying goodbye to her storytime children.
